breasts. He only looked up briefly to see the glow on her face before his mouth began tracing a path down from her breasts toward her belly, and when he took his tongue and drew a wet ring around her navel, her stomach muscles tightened. He liked the feeling beneath his tongue. He liked the sounds she was making. He damn sure liked her.

At that moment, a turbulent sensation washed over him and he knew he had to taste her completely. This wasn’t a token hunger that needed to be appeased, this was greed of gigantic proportions, as ravenous as it could get. Her taste, mingled with her just-climaxed scent, was driving him to a state of craziness.

Possession.

And he knew before the night was over he would possess her. That sort of determination seemed odd, out of place for a mere fling, but it was what it was. He would try to make sense of it later. All he knew was that, at this very moment, he had to have Ellie.

With that thought in mind, he pulled away from her stomach and began easing lower, his attention latched on that part of her that aroused him the most, that small nub at her center that he knew provided its own taste of honey. He was there before she’d realized where he’d gone, and, by the time it registered, he lowered his head and took total and complete custody.

She screamed the moment his tongue entered her, and her scream only fueled his fire, intensified his need to taste her this way. And from her initial reaction, it was quite obvious no man had ever gone down on her before. He found it odd but gratifying—that he would be the first one giving her this experience. A first they would share together.

He immediately tossed the thought from his mind, that when it came to Ellie, they shared a lot of firsts. Like right now. No woman had ever mattered so much, no booty call was worth so much that he’d left his house in the middle of the night like a madman, needing her so desperately. Until Ellie. He had rushed over here to her, barely dressed, and was now lapping up her honeyed nub like his life depended on it. He hadn’t been prepared for this.

Uriel quickly pulled his mouth away when he realized just how unprepared he was. He was about to make love to a woman and didn’t have a condom. Damn! Another first.

If this was any other woman, he would haul ass in a heartbeat and go back over to his place, take an ice-cold shower, drown in a few beers and go back to bed. But this wasn’t any woman. It was a woman he needed now, as he needed air to breathe.

Licking his lips, savoring her honeyed taste, he slowly eased his body upward and met her gaze. “I rushed over here so fast I didn’t bring any condoms with me,” he said in a low voice, hating to admit to such a thing that was so unlike him. “Would you happen to have one here?” he asked. And if she did, he hoped like hell it was more than one.

He knew what her answer would be before she opened her mouth to speak, and his entire body became infused with intense disappointment. “No. I haven’t been intimately involved with anyone for over four years,” she said. “But…”

He blinked. There was a but. A semblance of hope sprang to life within him, his erection throbbed even more and he waited for her to continue. When she paused and wouldn’t say anything else, he prodded. “But what?”

“I’m on the Pill. I’ve been on them since high school.” She blushed when she added, “To keep me regulated each month.”

He could tell she’d gotten embarrassed, sharing such personal information with him. Typically, he preferred his own brand of protection, regardless if the woman claimed she was on the Pill. Unless a man was with a woman 24/7 to watch her take the damn thing, there was no way he could be absolutely sure, and Uriel had better sense than to take any woman’s word when it came to birth control. He knew of several guys who had “Pill babies” walking around, that they were paying child support for.

But this wasn’t just any woman he was dying to make love to. It was Ellie—and if she said she was on the Pill, he felt confident that she was. So, in essence, she’d just thrown him a life
