Life! By Design_ 6 Steps to an Extraordinary You - Laura Morton [27]

By Root 370 0
No one else has to see your answers, so move forward with power, confidence, and vulnerability.

The first Core Value examines your level of satisfaction with your career. Perhaps you’re considering making a change at work, have been thinking about going back to work, or have been recently laid off. What are your feelings about your career?

The second Core Value is about your intimate relationships. Are you satisfied with the way things are at home? Are you married but thinking about getting out of that relationship? Or are you single and wanting to be in a loving and committed partnership? Whatever your status, think about the impact it is having on all the other areas of your life.

Third up is finances, which is a monstrous category for most people, especially when money is tight. How much of an impact is financial stress having on your life, relationships, career, health, and others around you? Are you facing a crisis or ignoring it?

The fourth Core Value is about your physical health. Are you working out on a regular basis? Do you get at least thirty minutes of some type of exercise at least five days a week? Are you satisfied with your appearance, or do you dress to hide the excess weight you’ve been carrying around for far too long?

Fifth is spirituality. This category can mean different things to different people, so look at this as any belief you have in a higher being as well as the amount of time you spend meditating, reflecting, praying, and looking inward. It’s about the quiet time you give your mind, freeing it from daily internal chatter and finding moments of real peace.

The sixth Core Value is called Contribution/Giving Back. For me, there are two kinds of people in the world: those who sit around and wait for something to be handed to them and those who go out and make a difference. These are the people who want to experience life and be in a continuous state of growth. The more you give, the more you’re making a difference. This core value isn’t necessarily about charity or financially giving back, although that would be a piece of this category. It could be about volunteering your time, mentoring a student, giving unconditional love, or simply doing small, everyday good deeds that can change the world around you.
