Ten municipal police and two specialists with the state Public Justice Ministry were detained by the Mexican army and turned over to the federal prosecutor for possession of drugs and weapons.

Yesterday morning, it was revealed that a female police officer had been the victim of sexual aggression by a group of soldiers and had required urgent medical attention. The attack was not confirmed but it generated a great deal of anger among the police, who warned of possible confrontations with the military.
