Herb Elliott:

Winner of the gold medal in the 1500 meters at the 1960 Olympic Games who also ran 17 sub-four minute miles. He was never defeated in a 1500 meter or mile race.

Joseph Froncioni, MD:

Al Gauthier:

Tamara Gerken:

Creator of the Runners World Barefoot Running Forum, which is a valuable meeting place to share ideas about barefoot running. Tamara is also a founding member and first president of the Barefoot Runners Society, the leading organization on all things related to barefoot running.

Cameron Guthrie:

One of the founding members of the Barefoot Runners Society, Cameron is the original designer and webmaster of the BRS site, and is responsible for many of the design aspects of the organization.

Scott Hadley, PhD, DPT:

Hadley is a pioneer in developing treatment procedures for all runners in general, and barefoot runners in particular. He is also a leader in the study of reflexes and running gait.

Daniel Howell, PhD:

Daniel Lieberman, PhD:

Professor of human evolutionary biology at Harvard University, he has conducted research on the impact forces of barefoot versus shod running. Christopher McDougall:
