The Complete Idiot's Guide to 2012 - Dr. Synthia Andrews Nd [101]
The Least You Need to Know
◆ Global warming may be one of the mechanisms creating the earth changes predicted for 2012.
◆ Aligning to the celestial pulses of energy and activating sacred sites with k’ul may be part of rebalancing and revitalizing the planet.
◆ Global warming is a real trend and is causing major problems including raising sea levels, flooding, extreme weather, droughts, species extinction and relocation, and loss of human life.
◆ Both natural cycles and human impact are driving global warming.
◆ Simple changes in everyday habits can save energy and reduce your carbon footprint.
◆ To change the direction we are going requires changing the way we think.
Chapter 16
Earth Changes, Epidemics, and Disease
In This Chapter
◆ The activity levels of volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis
◆ The impact of weather and technology on disease
◆ The return of old diseases
◆ The creation of new diseases
◆ Regaining our balance with nature
We are in the end times of the Mayan calendar. Both the destruction of the current age and preparations for the New Age are underway. We are seeing the prophecies come alive as we fast approach 2012. Past ages were destroyed by floods and fire and shakings of the earth. What does the end of this age hold?
According to the book of the Chilam Balam, we’re in the katun of “total collapse where day will be turned upside down and heaven and Earth will be consumed by fire.” What role do volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis play in fulfilling the predictions? Are we seeing a higher incidence of activity?
This chapter will explore the patterns of Earth changes, the incidence of diseases, and the emergence of new diseases in the fulfillment of the predictions.
Forces of the Earth in Turmoil
Volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis are all different aspects of the same Earth forces. The ground under your feet is not as stable as it seems. The earth’s crust is made of many plates (called tectonic plates) that move in response to internal pressure from the earth’s molten core. As heat and pressure builds, the plates move to release energy.
Earthquakes are the result of these plates grinding against each other. Volcanoes, on the other hand, provide an escape for hot molten rock, ash, and gas formed in the smoldering core. What about tsunamis? When volcanoes and earthquakes happen under the sea, lots of water is moved causing the huge tsunami waves.
The question we’re asking is this: Are we seeing more pressure within the earth causing more earthquakes, volcanoes, and tsunamis?
Volcanic Activity
In order to have an increase in volcanic activity, there has to be an increase in pressure deep inside the earth, enough pressure to force an eruption. Right now scientists are wondering about the weakening magnetic field. Is it a sign of changing pressure in the earth’s core? Could it result in increased volcanic activity? You may be wondering what the connection is between the magnetic field and volcanoes. The magnetic core creates the magnetic field. If the field is weakening, then something must be changing in the core. If the core is changing, then pressures change, which may cause an increase in volcanic and earthquake activity.
Codex Cues
When a volcano erupts, fiery material can be spewed 25 miles into the air while sizzling lava pours across the countryside. In addition, lightning strikes can be seen in the cloud above the rim. This is due to electrostatic buildup between the rapidly moving particles. What an amazing sight!
