◆ Can you imagine the world at peace?
◆ Do you feel life has purpose and meaning?
◆ Do you feel your life has purpose and meaning?
◆ Are you an irrepressible optimist no matter how bad things look?
◆ Do you watch the stars?
◆ Do you have vivid and meaningful dreams?
◆ Does the destruction of the environment physically hurt you?
◆ Do you feel compelled to make amends with those you are at odds with?
◆ Do you feel angry at the wanton destruction of life?
◆ Does your soul cry for a better world?
You know inside whether you’re asleep and living the dream of the material, or whether you yearn for a world of harmony and peace. Consider this: those who are intent on fulfilling personal greed at the expense of others would not be reading this book. You are here because time has carried you here to fulfill your purpose.
It might help to think about this if you are feeling afraid of changes to come, not sure if you are living in the right place or have made the best decisions. If you’re feeling unprepared, check in with your inner guru and see what changes you should make. However frightening the changes we’re going through seem, it helps to know there’s a plan, and that you’re part of that plan. Just as each planet is playing its role in the alignment, you, too, are exactly where you’re supposed to be. It’s not an accident.
Your past thoughts, actions, and beliefs have brought you to this moment in time for a reason. Knowing this deep in your core is part of living from your higher self. There is a Hopi saying: “We are the ones we have been waiting for.”
Healing Old Wounds
James O’Dea is president of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), a nonprofit organization researching the scientific basis of consciousness. Astronaut Edgar Mitchell was one of the founders of the organization. O’Dea says that to be able to envision world peace requires that you let go of your own enmity toward others. This is a profound statement. Many of us hold on to old wounds because we don’t know how to heal them. There is an opportunity at this time to heal the wounds of the world. This means your wounds, too. As you work to forgive yourself and others for past mistakes, you are helping clear the lack of forgiveness in the world. Choosing to make yourself available to help the world situation is an opportunity for help with your own healing, too. If you have asked for the masters to come and awaken you, now is the time to let them in.
Changing Self-Identity
Legends from many cultures report the influence in their culture of higher beings. Called the Lords of Light, angels, Quetzalcoatl or Kukulkan, Masters, Shining Ones, and many more names, the higher beings always promise to return. In fact, they promise to return regularly, at the beginning and end of each time cycle. Each cycle seems to be separated by cataclysmic events, as with the changing of the Mayan ages.
The Chilam Balam tells us we will become as gods. This promise is repeated in numerous cultures and legends. In his book The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch (see Resources appendix), Dr. J. J. Hurtak tells us that humans are destined to evolve beyond our present “terrestrial” form. It seems the evolutionary bottleneck we’re going through may be pushing us into higher realms.
Becoming as Gods
Many cultures have legends of men becoming gods or gods walking among men. In the Old Testament of the Bible, Enoch is visited by angels and is taken to heaven at 365 years old, where he becomes the angel Metatron. In the Mayan tradition, the same happens with Pacal Votan.
Gods, or the sons of gods, come down and walk among people. In the Mayan legends, Kukulkan walked among men and promised to return in the final days. In Christianity, Christ lived on earth spreading the word of God. When he was crucified, he promised to return in the end times.
The Egyptian legends talk of the Shining ones; there’s also Lord Krishna, Buddha, Odin, and the Native American Pahana.
The Mayan legends tell us that this time when Kukulkan returns he will return
