The Complete Idiot's Guide to 2012 - Dr. Synthia Andrews Nd [148]
Fuel Economy
There’s no question that energy plays a major role in the reunification with nature. The cost to the planet of obtaining, refining, and using fossil fuels is one of the largest factors in habitat destruction and pollution. Here, too, change is underway. New technologies are being developed to produce energy from natural earth processes. Geothermal, tidal, wind, hydro, and solar technologies are receiving major new input in dollars and thinking time. The real breakthroughs will come as we learn how to work with frequency and the energy flows of the planet. Legends from Atlantis describe using frequency to levitate giant stones and move them into position when constructing pyramids. Visionaries talk about vehicles that operate on magnetic pulses, pulsing along the lines of k’ul as highways.
The bottleneck we’re going through may have many positive aspects. Fresh ideas and new ways of seeing the same problem arise when we are forced to change. Let’s face it, we’ll always take the course of least resistance. As long as the old way was easier and worked, why change? The current conditions are forcing each of us to think differently. Out of this comes new solutions, new technologies, and new behaviors.
Medicine for the Future
Another shift as we find ourselves in the new era is how we view medicine. New medicine will use light, sound, and other forms of frequency to create health through resonance and harmonics. Conventional medicine of today is great at heroic interventions, which will always be needed as long as we have physical bodies. However, it’s often not so effective at basic healing. It relies more on suppression of symptoms than healing of causes. Traditional medicine of the past was not so effective at heroic intervention, but it excelled at supporting the healing power of nature. Of course, no medicine can truly heal. Only your body has the mechanisms and intelligence required to heal. The best medicine can do is optimize the conditions for healing, remove obstacles to cure, and stimulate the healing power of nature. (These are, of course, the tenets of naturopathic medicine.)
Medicine of the future will create the frequency of ideal health; transmit it on light, sound, or thought waves; and allow your body to come into resonance. Learning to work with the k’ul of the planet will energize the “ideal” and help it manifest. A new world of medicine will indeed have arrived.
In the future, people will have more responsibility and more control over their own health. You might want to start this process now. If cataclysmic events do occur as 2012 approaches, you won’t be able to just call a doctor when you get sick. Consider the impacts of this! Just as learning CPR and basic lifesaving is important, a basic herbal medicine kit would do everyone well. Herbal medicine, also called botanical medicine, refers to the use of any plant’s seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers for medicinal purposes. Herbalism is becoming more mainstream as its historical claims in the treatment and prevention of disease are being validated through analysis and research.

Return to Natural Time
Chapters 4 and 5 talked about the effect of the Gregorian calendar. You may find, as others have, that returning to natural time restores a sense of balance. A 13-month lunar calendar, for instance, puts you back in sync with the moon. Why does this matter? Let’s look at the most basic level. Right now humanity sees itself as above nature. We use nature, we live on the planet, but we act as if we are not “of” the planet and don’t have to abide
