The Complete Idiot's Guide to 2012 - Dr. Synthia Andrews Nd [150]

of Atlantis are true, there may be a long history of this problem. Society is where it is because of our collective thoughts and behaviors. We’re basically changing where we’re going by changing how we think.

New technologies and new directions can only come about from new values and beliefs. We create from our values. We have some great values: innovation, independence, freedom, human equality. We also have some not-so-great values: valuing the material over the spiritual, the mind over the heart. Transformation will require valuing the essence behind the physical.

The Good Side of Modern Science and Technology

Technology is amazing. When you consider what the Internet has allowed, how the computer has changed our horizons, and the heroics modern medicine is capable of, it’s truly amazing. None of us wants to lose this aspect. But science itself goes through paradigm shifts after which nothing looks the same again. This happened in the past when Newtonian physics gave way to Einsteinian physics. Then again when the theory of relatively gave way to quantum mechanics.

The positive side of cataclysm and the bottleneck we’re going through is that it forces new paradigms. We’re on the verge of a paradigm shift right now. This shift will guide the development of science in the coming next age.

Micro- and Macro-Understanding

Do you remember the first time you saw a picture of what an atom looked like, with its orbiting rings of electrons? Were you blown away by how much it resembled the solar system? The ancients have always said, “As above so below.” The more we get inside of the microcosm and the more we go out into space, into the macrocosm, the more this seems to be true.

When we look at the bigger picture, we can see that there will be no easy future. In order to survive, as author J. J. Hurtak says, “we must be placed firmly in touch with our cosmic counterparts.” In other words, we must be prepared to consider other intelligence in the universe and what our place will be in this larger context. Whew! A paradigm shift indeed!

The Least You Need to Know

◆ Internal and external preparation will help ease the transition into the New Age.

◆ In the new era, the energy pathways on the planet will be activated, as will the pyramids and sacred sites. This will have the effect of increasing the Schumann Resonance and increasing human consciousness.

◆ Transformation is based on reunification with nature, the return to natural time, and honoring the sacred in all life. It will affect our medicine, agriculture, and technology development.

◆ Our thoughts and behaviors got us here, and changing our thoughts and behaviors are part of the transformation.

◆ We’re approaching a paradigm shift that will expand our awareness of how we fit into the larger universe.
