ALICE MOON-FANELLI is a certified applied animal behaviorist and clinical assistant professor at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, North Grafton, MA. She works in the Animal Behavior Center, which offers a remote consultation service (www.tufts.edu/vet/petfax). She received her doctorate and master degrees in etiology and canine behavior genetics from the University of Connecticut. An expert on dog and wolf behavior, Dr. Moon-Fanelli is a regular contributor to Your Dog and Catnip magazines.
PIA SILVANI, one of the country’s top certified professional dog trainers, is director of training and behavior at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ (www.sthuberts.org). She is past vice president and charter member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Ms. Silvani teaches everything from puppy socialization to Feisty Fido classes for dogs who need to control their tempers. She writes training manuals, lectures around the world, and is an advisor to the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Her first book, with co-author Lynn Eckhardt, is called Raising Puppies & Kids Together: A Guide for Parents.
