You have to imagine their wellness even in the reality of their experience of (temporary) illness and pain, and exercise the creative beingness you came here to live. Wish wellness for them, imagine wellness in them. Know they are well, regardless of what they say. This is your power. If you go to their way of believing in the moment, you give up your power.

“But, remember, my companions, you don’t do this for them because they need it; you do it because it is your true nature, and because doing it also makes you feel good, and because joining them in a slower vibration takes you from the very Source that is you. Your greatest value to others is when you are joyful, when you are connected to who you are. Your greatest value to others is when you are radiantly healthy, when you are happy, to have, and to be, and to do all the things that are very important to you. When you are doing these things that make you feel good, that bring you joy and vitality, you are a catalyst inspiring others to an awareness of that. You have healed yourself, you are immersed in your natural wellness. Radiate health and well-being and all will be influenced by this. You are a natural healer, a health seer, a perfect health ally.”

Chiron fell silent. The others remained silent as well, each traveling their own pathway amongst Chiron’s ideas. A few moments passed, and Chiron added,

“Then while harmony between the spirit and the mind is being brought about, the very cause of the experience of illness being eradicated, one can apply the herbal oils and salves, administer the simples, the potions, and the tonics that usher good feelings and a strong sense of well-being to the body, therein most efficiently using such physical means as may be appropriate to soothe, tone, and complete the healing of the body.

“Show your companions how to make herbal brews and potions that sustain the body’s vitality. Make with them those herbal preparations that help nourish their bodies and minds and soothe their afflictions, further assisting them to focus attention on all that feels good in their life. Remember, health is simply feeling good.

“And, as herbalists, whenever possible show these wonderful people to the gardens, to the fields and other places where plants live, for the companionship of living plants is truly the highest level, the premier expression of herbal medicine. Let folks’ minds and hearts be uplifted by the silent language of the flower kingdom, words expressed through the pure positive energy radiating from the beauty and vitality of each living plant. Let the rhythm of human pulse be influenced by plants’ enchanted connection with the cycles of absolute well-being and the jubilant abundance of Earth. Entreat yourself and your clients to meditate within these surroundings, this uplifting environment that assists one’s mind to become calm and widen its outlook, allowing an individual to feel the visions of what he or she truly wants, rediscovering and confirming pathways to their bliss.

“And, finally, esteemed students and peers, communicate clearly to your clients that healing is a human function; it was not the counselor or the medicines or a supernatural power that healed them; it was they who healed themselves, for the final responsibility and the most compassionate act of health seers, herbalists, and physicians are to ultimately empower their client companions with the full realization that health and healing come forth solely from within.”

Upon this final word, young Bacchus, who, although he loved listening to the teachings of his mentor, could contain himself no longer. He jumped up onto his feet saying, “Chiron, is it not time now to play; is it not time to honor this delicious flow of life by enhancing its surge with dancing and the taste of fine wines, ripe fruits, and spiced vegetables?”

“Yes,” added Ceres, “and I have here loaves of fresh bread, sweet
