About the Author

Christie Golden spent her math classes in high school writing Star Trek scripts, so she is delighted, fifteen years later, to be an official part of the Star Trek universe.

Golden has been all over the map in her writing. She's written gothic horror/fantasy (Vampire of the Mists, Dance of the Dead and The Enemy Within), several short stories, and an epic fantasy novel, Instrument of Fate, due out in April from Ace Books. The Murdered Sun is her first foray into science fiction, and she has found that she likes it.

She lives in Colorado with her husband, Michael, and two cats.
