About the Author

KEN AULETTA was brought up in Coney Island, attended New York City public schools and the State University of New York at Oswego, and received an M.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He worked for the federal and city governments and participated in national and state political campaigns. A former contributing editor of New York magazine and writer for the Village Voice, he is now a writer for The New Yorker, a columnist for the New York Daily News and a regular commentator and host on New York public television. He is also a contributing editor of Esquire magazine, and his work has appeared in the New York Review of Books and the New York Times.
