The third-eye chakra is located in the center of the forehead and vibrates to the color indigo or dark blue. Focusing on the third eye chakra in meditation helps to develop spiritual awareness. This center, which is used to see auras and spirits, physically corresponds with our eyes and pineal and pituitary glands located in the brain. The “third eye” is the gateway to the spiritual realms.
The seventh or crown chakra vibrates at the top of and above our heads. This is the seat of spiritual consciousness, enlightenment, mysticism, and protection. Concentrate on the color purple when meditating on this chakra. Physically, it corresponds to our spinal column, central nervous system, and cerebral cortex. When working with spirits, it is a good idea to bring the light through this crown chakra down into our bodies to the root chakra in order to protect ourselves from unwanted energies.
SCANNING THE BODY
In 1989 I was about to begin a reading for a client named Judy when I noticed that she was uncontrollably nervous. Before I could continue I had to calm her down, so I guided her through a meditation. Then, as I scanned Judy’s life force, I intuitively detected a blockage. I saw a brownish, gummy type of substance sticking to her uterus. It appeared to be what I call an emotional “knot.” I knew immediately that Judy had some unresolved emotional issue and it was throwing her physical body off balance. Left untreated, this knot could eventually develop into some kind of cancer.
I asked Judy, “Have you ever had a pain or discomfort in this area?”
“Yes…occasionally, but I am not sure what it is.”
I then asked her if she had ever lost a child and felt responsible for its loss.
Judy lowered her head and whispered, “Yes, it was a boy, and he died after three weeks.” The doctors had told her the baby died of SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
I explained to Judy, “The soul of your son is fine. It was part of his soul’s evolution to go through that particular experience. You need to look at this experience differently. It was an opportunity for your son’s soul to grow. You were a part of his spiritual learning experience, and you should not feel guilty. Guilt will only cause problems in your body.”
Judy seemed to understand.
As I continued to explain about the relationship between souls and their growth, I noticed the brownish mass of corrosive energy in Judy’s body begin to break apart and to dissipate. I could see her life force flow through that area, as it should. By the end of our meeting, Judy looked younger.
She told me, “I feel so energized. I haven’t felt this way in a long time.”
I smiled and wished her well on her path.
THE HEALING HOUSE
We have all had the experience of being around positive, loving people. It feels good just to be around them. When others are joyful, we feel happy too. An individual with thoughts of love and light draws other individuals who are like-minded and loving. It is difficult to always live in this manner because our physical world is filled with many challenges and obstacles to overcome. However, love is our natural state of being and the greatest force there is. It can overcome any darkness, imbalance, or disharmony. The more we make an effort to keep our thoughts positive, the more pleasurable our journey in life will be.
Through the years I have been so blessed to meet some incredible healers, spiritual teachers, and others who have revealed their truly heroic experiences. I always feel honored when they share their stories with me.
I would like to describe two particular instances that demonstrate how loving, positive energy resulted in the manifestation of some very highly evolved beings.
