Chapter 12 The Leadership Framework

1 The version of the Leadership Framework that appears here has been adapted from the original LRN Leadership Framework in order to better serve this book.

3 Not all of these ideas about leadership dispositions and attributes are original; some I have absorbed from others or from things I have read over the course of my career. During my studies as a Wexner Fellow, I learned from Rabbi Nathan Laufer, for instance, the effectiveness of describing leadership attributes both positively and negatively, as what they are and are not. Among the many books I read about leadership, The Corporate Mystic by Hendricks and Ludeman influenced me to think more rigorously about it. Though I didn’t invent all these ideas, I believe I first assembled them and then refined them over the years with my colleagues at LRN in an original fashion uniquely suited to thriving in a world of HOW.
