Smoked Cheese Blend

2 tablespoons unsalted butter,

divided

Shredded cheese makes for easier melting, and the thick Texas Toast is the bread of choice, but any bread will do in a pinch.

1. Spread 2 slices of Texas toast with mustard. Mound with the shredded cheese and top with another slice of Texas toast.

2. In a nonstick pan, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Add both sandwiches to the pan and flatten them with a spatula.

3. Cook until the bottom sides are golden, 1 to 2 minutes.

4. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon butter to the pan, flipping the sandwiches over. Cook until the second side is golden, 1 to 2 minutes.

ALMOND BUTTER and BANANA SANDWICHES


YIELD: 2 sandwiches

PREP TIME: 5 minutes

4 slices Trader Joe’s Soft 10

Grain Bread, or another type of

bread, toasted if desired

Trader Joe’s Creamy Almond

Butter with Sea Salt, as needed

2 teaspoons honey

1 banana, sliced

This is an absolute staple for my breakfast, and I usually make it open-faced. It’s easy, healthy, and delicious.

1. Spread 2 slices of bread with almond butter and drizzle with honey.

2. Divide the banana pieces between the slices of bread, and top each one with a second slice.

FRENCH TOAST and SAUSAGE SANDWICHES


YIELD: 3 sandwiches

PREP TIME: 5 minutes

COOKING TIME: 5 minutes

1 (8-ounce) box Trader Joe’s

Veggie Sausage Patties

1 (12-ounce) box Trader Joe’s

Low Fat French Toast

2 tablespoons unsalted butter,

cut into pieces

2 tablespoons maple syrup

This quick and easy sandwich is super simple and deliriously delicious.

1. Microwave the sausage patties according to the package directions and cook the French toast in the toaster until golden.

2. In a small bowl, microwave the butter on high until just softened, 5 to 10 seconds. Stir in the maple syrup.

3. Lay half of the toast slices on a cutting board and soak with the maple syrup and butter.

4. Slice the patties in half and place 2 on each of the toast slices. Top with the remaining toast.

COOKING TIME: 2 minutes

2 pieces Trader Joe’s Masala

Tandoori Naan

2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s Red

Pepper Spread with Eggplant

and Garlic

1/2 (12-ounce) package Trader

Joe’s Grilled Chicken Strips

2 slices Swiss cheese

Trader Joe’s Red Pepper Spread with Eggplant and Garlic adds a massive spark of flavor to enhance the sandwich.

1. Arrange the naan in a microwave-safe dish. Spread 1 tablespoon red pepper spread on top of each piece of naan. Layer with the chicken strips and top with the cheese.

2. Microwave on high until the cheese is melted, about 1 minute.

MUFFULETTA SANDWICHES


YIELD: 2 sandwiches

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

2 pieces Trader Giotto’s

Focaccini, or other crusty rolls

yellow mustard, as needed

1 1/2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s

Green Olive Tapenade

4 slices turkey bologna

1/2 (7-ounce) package Trader

Joe’s Smoked Turkey Breast

2 slices Swiss cheese

2 Roma tomatoes, sliced

A New Orleans specialty, the muffuletta sandwich is a crusty roll filled with meat like ham and salami and topped with a mixture of chopped olives.

1. Slice each focaccini in half. Spread the bottom layer of each focaccini with mustard and the top with tapenade. On the bottom half of each sandwich, layer the bologna, turkey, cheese, and tomato.

2. Cover with the top layers and cut each sandwich in half.

TUNA SALAD SANDWICHES


YIELD: 2 sandwiches

PREP TIME: 5 minutes

3 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise,

divided

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s

Organic Sweet Pickle Relish

2 (5-ounce) cans Trader Joe’s

Albacore Solid White Tuna in

Water, drained

4 slices Trader Joe’s Texas Toast,

or any other sandwich bread

It’s the addition of a little lemon juice along with the sweetness of the relish that makes this tuna salad recipe shine.
