First Lieutenant Kruger (S-3A, 2-47) won the SS, two BSMv, AM, two ARCOMv, and PH, but resigned as a major and is now a supervisor in the Department of the Army's Weapons Testing Section in Yuma, Arizona. First Lieutenant Peske (A/2-47) reluctantly accepted two BSMv, BSM, ARCOMv, two PH, and the RVN Cross of Gallantry, and ended up with lingering emotional scars and physical difficulties, most of the former soothed over by his wife and five children; he now keeps active with scouting, soccer leagues, and his job as a general manager of a metric fastener and tool distributing company, and lives in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. Sergeant DeFrank (A/2-47) won the BSMv, BSM, and PH, as well as a permanent disability for his wound, and still with the woman he married after basic training he now has two children and is a repairman for a power company in Rices Landing, Pennsylvania. Specialist Fourth Class Spurgeon (A/2-47) won the ARCOMv, ARCOM, and PH during his two tours with the 4th, 5th, 9th, and 101st Divisions, and is presently a National Guard captain. He is with his second wife, has three sons, and is a peace officer living in Los Osos, California. Captain Lowe (CO, D/6-31 Infantry) finished his second tour as an assistant brigade operations officer in the 25th Division, won the SS, four BSMv, and two PH, and now a colonel is planning for retirement with his wife and three children in Fairfax, Virginia. First Lieutenant Sprinkles (XO, D/6-31) won the BSMv, four AM, ARCOM, and PH, is now a reserve captain, and, divorced after having a son and daughter, is a lawyer in Campbell, California. Second Lieutenant Bayer (FO, D/6-31) finished his tour in a staff job with 4th Division Arty with the SS, two BSM, AM, and ARCOM, and came home to marry his college sweetheart, a devout antiwar protester. Their marriage eventually crumbled in part because of the awkward silence between them about the war; he is now a professor of English at a junior college in Kirkwood, Missouri. Specialist Fourth Class Mickels (D/6-31) now has two children and owns a moving and storage company in Seattle, Washington. Specialist Fourth Class Moran (D/6-31) is married with two children, and is a factory worker and farmer in Mentor, Minnesota. Specialist Fourth Class Walker (D/6-31) won the DSC and SS, and now a coal-mining foreman, lives with his wife and two daughters in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania. Private First Class Miller (D/6-31) won the SS and BSMv, and with a wife, two sons, and a daughter, and the regret that he never finished college, is now a lock and dam operator living in Godfrey, Illinois. Private First Class Wood (D/6-31) extended his tour, then already having earned the DSC and PH, and went home early with a second PH; married, with a son and daughter, he is now a police lieutenant in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Colonel Selton (CO, 199th LIB) won three BSM and ARCOM for his year in WW II and the LM, two BSM, thirteen AM, and PH for his year in Vietnam. Now a businessman recuperating from open-heart surgery, he lives with his wife on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Lieutenant Colonel Crancer (CO, 5-12 Infantry) received the LM, DFC, BSMv, three BSM, AMv, nine AM, and PH for his two tours in Vietnam, won his eagles before retirement, and, now a general manager with an oil-field service company, lives with his wife in Lafeyette, Louisiana. Lieutenant Colonel DeLeuil (CO, 5-12) spent two and a half years in Vietnam, earning the LM, three BSM, AM, and PH, and after retirement as a full colonel began a career as a research physicist. He lives with his wife in Huntsville, Alabama. Major Blumhardt (S-3, 5-12) retired as a colonel and he and his family are now in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Captain Kuter (surgeon, 5-12)
