seemed breathy, even to her own ears.

“Ditto.”

He licked at her, teasing her, nibbling on her lips.

“Your room is too far away.”

“Yeah, it is. But we can’t stay here. Even if she destroys the tape, I don’t think either one of us wants to give Jacey any kind of private show tomorrow.”

She giggled, glancing over her shoulder at the camera, hoping Jacey was not watching any of this. “I’m sure she won’t sit there and watch the whole thing. I bet she won’t get past our conversation about the ballet.”

“Maybe not,” he murmured as he lightly kissed her jaw, then the sensitive skin beneath her ear. “But do you really want to risk it?”

Sighing deeply, she put her head back, wanting him to move his mouth lower, down her throat. “I think I’d risk anything if it means I can finally have you.”

Her words seemed to inflame him because suddenly there were no more teasing words, no more little nibbles and smiles. Drew slipped his hand in her hair, tangling it around his fingers. Then he tugged her close for another one of those hot, wet kisses that sapped every bit of strength from her body.

“Come on,” she said when the kiss ended. “We gotta get outta here before I say to hell with Jacey and her cameras and just rip your clothes off.”

She leapt off his lap and tugged at his hand, nearly desperate to get somewhere private. Really private.

Drew let her pull him to his feet, but he was shaking his head. “I trust Jacey to kill the tape from this room. But once we get out of here, it’s not just Jacey we have to worry about. Every other camera in the house is going to be taping us once we walk out that door, and we’re fair game.”

She nibbled her lip, not liking the reminder.

“There’s no way you won’t be seen coming into my room,” he added. “And I don’t want to do that to you on national television. Thursday morning was bad enough, but at least you were only there for a few minutes.”

She appreciated his concern. At the same time she wanted to bash him in the head for realizing they couldn’t go to his room.

“This is so unfair,” she wailed. “I can’t go one more night without you.” To prove it, she rose up and put her arms around his neck, pressing every inch of her body against his as she pulled him down for a kiss.

He licked at her, devouring her, putting his arms around her waist to draw her even tighter. Then he pulled away and looked over her shoulder. “Come on,” he growled.

Tori almost stumbled as he grabbed her and pulled her toward the French doors leading outside. “It’s freezing.”

He paused only long enough to grab a lap blanket, which was draped across the back of the couch. Wrapping it around her, he strode out the door into the snowy night, pulling her after him.

And suddenly she knew where he was taking her. “Perfect,” she whispered, her word causing a cloud of icy cold mist to envelop her face. She shivered a little. From the cold. From the heat. From the anticipation that had been welling up inside her for weeks.

Drew didn’t even seem to notice the frigid air. But he did notice her slip a bit on the icy patio. Before Tori knew what he was doing, he’d bent down and swept her up into his arms.

“Good Lord,” she sputtered, even though she was starting to feel a bit like a fairy-tale princess, “put me down.”

“No.”

He bent his head to kiss her again, sweeping his warm tongue into her mouth as if he couldn’t wait the few more moments it would take to get to the greenhouse. They shared a breath in the cold night air. Then he strode across the snowy lawn, his steps never faltering, his strong hold on her never weakening.

When they reached the greenhouse, Tori reached down to open the door. He carried her inside, then kicked the door shut behind them. They didn’t need to turn on the light. The spotlights on the corners of the house provided plenty of illumination. She could see all the undisguised want in his eyes, that was for certain.

“Oh, this is perfect,” she whispered, the hot, steamy air bringing instant relief to her cold face and hands.

He lowered her to stand on her own in front of him. “Thank goodness our host
