The Complete Idiot's Guide to 2012 - Dr. Synthia Andrews Nd [115]
Tlakaelel told us about an unexpected experience he had while being driven across Mexico. He was sitting in the rear seat, letting his mind wander with the passing scenes. Suddenly, he had a vision of a series of symbols in his head and heard the request: “Find the place of the last ceremonial dance.” He did not know what the symbols were until he was later shown pictures of crop circles. This is why he sought me out.
Sitting in my office with pictures of crop circles on all the walls, Tlakaelel asked for a pencil and paper. He sketched an intricate symbol consisting of a crescent abutting the side of a large circle with satellites around it and with a tail of ever smaller abutting circles. The line of circles formed an arc. At the end of the arc was another, smaller crescent. It looked to me something like a scorpion. After drawing the symbol he became silent, looking with deep meaning into my eyes. “Have you seen this,” he asked, “and where?”
The CPRI Catalogue of Images contains the most comprehensive record of crop patterns from around the world. I felt how important this was to Tlakaelel but had to respond, “No, I have not, but let me show you those that I have knowledge of and have recorded in the data.” I was able to show them many designs, some that were composed of pieces from Tlakaelel’s sketch. You’ve seen some already in the previous illustration.
Of the many hundreds of different designs in the database, some repeating many times and in many countries, there were none with all the elements assembled in his vision. I could see he was disappointed and I hoped his long journey had not been wasted. I had no idea what a shock awaited us within seconds of the departure of this Aztec Elder from our office.
Arrival of Tlakaelel’s Design
We walked Tlakaelel and his party to their car and watched them climb in and drive slowly out of the parking lot. We returned to the office to hear the fax machine starting up. It was a message from my friend Reg Presley (lead singer of the music group The Troggs) in England. He was reporting a newly found crop circle in the field under Silbury Hill.
Codex Cues
Crop circles often frequent the same places year after year. They have been found by farmers within sight of Stonehenge since the 1940s but only since 1988 have they been found within sight of the ancient mound of Silbury Hill, England. The circles now appear every year in the same fields around Silbury Hill, forming one of the most prolific hot spots in the world.
The crop formation Reg faxed was of an exciting and unusual new design. As you might be guessing, the second page coming out of the fax machine provided a shock. Here in front of my eyes was the very design Tlakaelel had been asking about. You can see the crop-circle design in the first image in the following illustration. I was so shocked my heart was pounding! It took a few moments to register that the field the formation was discovered in was an archeological site where ancient ceremonial dancing occurred.
Of course we faxed the information immediately to Burt Gunn, Tlakaelel’s interpreter and guide. Why was this design so important? What was the intention for the Aztec Elder?
Here are three designs of Mayan significance.
Tlakaelel Visits Silbury Hill
Although Tlakaelel and Burt were deeply moved by the pictures I sent of the formation, it was one full year before they were able to join us in England. Synthia and I escorted Tlakaelel and Burt to Silbury Hill and to the field where the scorpion design, now long gone, had appeared. A whole book could be written about the series of strange things that happened surrounding this
