At the time, this future date meant nothing to me and we decided the significance of the design was due to the fact that the planetary positioning matched the day of its arrival in the fields. Writing this book, I realize the true significance: 2033 is the last year of the first katun of the new fifth age. That is, the first katun of the fifth age starts in 2013 and ends in 2033. If you remember, this isn’t the only reference to 2033. The Elliott Wave theory from Chapter 17 also points to this year. It predicts this year will be the end of the economic rebalancing that begins in 2017. It will be the start of a new period of prosperity after the economic crash. I am left with two questions: Why is the earth missing from its orbit? Is this date giving us hope that the Golden Age of the Maya is still to come?
Magnetic Field Formation
Avebury is an incredible megalithic stone circle in England that dates to the time of Stonehenge. It’s located about 25 miles away. Millions of people visit it each year. In the summer of 2000, in a nearby field another amazing formation arrived. This formation appeared to be a replica of the earth and its magnetic field (see illustration #10 in the earlier figure). I couldn’t help but think this was drawing our attention to the weakening magnetic field of the earth.
Mayan and Aztec Crop Designs
New and impressive Aztec and Mayan artwork has arrived in the fields since Tlakaelel’s visit in 1994. Take a look at the following illustration to see some of the crop circles that look like they could have been drawn by the Maya themselves. These formations occurred between 2001 and 2005. More continue to arrive to this day.

Crop Conclusions
If crop circles are expressions of meta-consciousness, they represent themes in our own collective unconscious. Like the Mayan calendars and 2012 prophets, the crop designs draw attention to the sky; to planetary cycles, orbits, solar flares, comets, galaxies, and even changes in the solar system. I find it very interesting that the date shown by the solar system crop design is the end date of the first katun of the fifth age. The designs speak to multiple stories; this was one of them.

In the positive spirit of this book, here is a quotation from Chief Dave, Oglala Lakota, about “The Circle”: “The Circle has healing power. In the Circle, we are all equal. More Signs from the Meta-Consciousness
Crop circles are not the only sign from the meta-conscious. Meta-conscious states of awareness seem to be linked to avenues of perception. We are finding there are more ways to perceive the world than our five senses. In fact, we’re waking up to senses moving beyond even the idea of the sixth sense. In these times approaching 2012, more and more people are experiencing meta-conscious states. Let’s look at a few.
Synchronicity: An Expression of Meta-Consciousness
The Mayan calendar shows the importance of timing and the flow of energy through matter. An expression of this is synchronicity. Have you been experiencing more synchronicity in your life? More and more people are experiencing this intensified level of timing. (We’ll discuss synchronicity in more detail in Chapter 19.)
We have experienced an unprecedented level of synchronicity while writing this book. Many times we have just come to the point of needing a piece of information or
