Ceres and Bacchus smiled at Artemis gracefully receiving her acclaim.
“You embody a path of passionate health,” Artemis continued, “which we can look to as a model of harmonious nonresistance to one’s own innate qualities of well-being.”
Then looking to the others sitting in the circle, Artemis said, “So often I have discussed with Chiron and other health seers what we feel are the very foundations of health, the understanding of which can render any illness of mind and body both preventable and curable. I have found two simple principles that inevitably emerge. The first is to follow the guidance of your inner spirit always. This guidance which attends to each and every thought, comes forth to you through your feelings. Focus your attention on those thoughts that feel good to you, for these are the ideas and visions that are in harmony with the truth of your inner nature.
“Hold to the thoughts and actions that follow the instincts which come forth from within. It is only through one’s intuitive inspiration that a person takes right action and gains true self-knowledge. It is not the idealism, morals, whims, and dictates of the outer world, or the observation of and reaction to other persons’ experiences that give joyful, healthful guidance. I have seen consistently that when one’s spirit and one’s mindful personality are in harmony with each other, life force flows with ease, and life experiences consist primarily of joy, prosperity, and health.
“Invariably, our inner being holds clear awareness of the original intent of our incarnation, that unique cardinal path we originally chose for this life. In accordance with this we have a profound inner guidance system ever at work; in every thought, one’s mind and personality are guided from within through a continual communication with one’s spirit, using the intimate inner language of feelings. Those thoughts and experiences that vibrate in harmony with the vast knowing of one’s inner being feel good, and those that vibrate in discord feel bad; it is that simple. This is why love, appreciation, enthusiasm, and so forth feel good to us, and why anger, frustration, guilt, jealousy, and blame feel bad.
“Chronic pain and disease are merely extensions of bad or painful feelings that one has endured or attempted to ignore and disregard over a period of time. Disease is initiated by any prolonged resistance or conflict between the specific choices of one’s mind and the comprehensive knowing of one’s inner spirit.
“The second principle is to hold sacrosanct in one’s heart and mind the freedom and importance of all others to follow their chosen paths. Venerate, as you do your own, the wisdom and true guidance of another’s inner being; honor their path, be they connected and in harmony with their inner self or not. They are learning and growing too. Judge them not; do them no harm; they are co-creating with you. They do not have to agree with you. Allow them their way and truly appreciate their individuality. The vibrations of appreciation are profound, akin to those of unconditional love.
“Each of us appears to be separate from one another, but nonetheless each is an integral part of the whole of life, and each being has her or his own path to follow. The questions of right or wrong, of good or evil are relative; what is right for one is possibly wrong for another. And, likewise all standards of morality and idealism are purely relative. Spirit has no rules. The unique individuality of every path is hallowed and is wholly essential to the evolution of All. Appreciating and allowing all others to be as they are, attracts full freedom to be oneself, and it is this vast field of diversity we access on this physical plane that allows each of us to find everything we need to support the realization of our desires.
“We have come into this
