Let's do a little test to see if the relaxation reflex has already begun to be established in your mind and body. Sit with your back straight and let your mind go back to the time when you were performing the tensing-and-relaxing exercises. Visualize yourself taking a deep breath, tensing your muscle groups, holding, and finally letting those muscle groups release their tension with the air in your lungs. Now prepare yourself to take a deep breath without tensing up any of your muscles.
