Eve in the Garden of Eden
It's perhaps not a coincidence that for the past six years I have lived in a place called Paradise. Lots of jokes come my way about Eva in Paradise, quite often with a quip of “where's Adam?” I'd like to know that too. Who is to be number 51? Only time will tell. And perhaps I won't tell and keep it a private matter. My next writing venture feels like it could be fiction, storytelling, spinning new possibilities in the web of life.
Eve, according to the church, was the original sinner. She was the temptress who offered Adam a taste of the apple, of knowledge. Eve, through her actions, caused the fall of man. Poppycock on that interpretation. They would like us to believe that all women are sinful and the poor men are incapable of making decisions while under the spell of a woman.
Who made this up? Why do we swallow it hook, line and sinker? Why do we buy this philosophy that only cause us feel bad about ourselves? Why do we let some dried up fart dictate to us how to live? Someone, who bets are hasn't been laid in a long while. Why do we think life on earth is about punishment and denying our humanness?
I believe we are all here to be human, to experience all that earth has to offer. We already are spiritual beings. There is no need to purify or to lift ourselves above. We are here to be human, to be grounded in physical reality. That means enjoying the fruits of the earth - like wine, food and good company. It means exploring all the nuances of relationships and tasting all that the body has to offer through the sexual and other sensory experiences.
We are here to be creative, to dance and sing and to enjoy life. Look around, how many people are living here and now, truly savoring the experience? No we struggle, we get caught up in mental constructs that don't mean a thing in the end.
On the other hand, we now have the ability to heal past life wounds in a way we didn't have access to previously. This means there are many of us on the healing path. There is a lot of pain that is being released through this healing work and that is very good. The trick is to move on once the healing has taken place and go for the gusto, go for life, go for pleasure, go for exploration of what it really means to be human, all flesh and blood. When we die we return to the spirit plane, where all the earth experiences are not possible. There we are pure spirit and there we can spend endless time in bliss in the light.
While we are on earth we have a different purpose. It's called to live. To live life to the best of our ability. God makes no judgments. Only people judge.
Righteous Anger
Getting in touch with righteous anger is one of the key healing elements to throw off abuse and other shaming projections. Until we get angry and punch back, so to speak, the other person remains in a power over situation. To be empowered we need to take a stand, express our feelings and at times really let it rip.
I have behaved uncharacteristically of late. Instead of being so understanding and therapeutic, I've let myself react like a flesh and blood human being. The person who was my father in the Brussels life had acted out similar behavior in this life. I started out by pointing out the present behavior, then added it's not just about me to the full blown this is how I feel when I discovered the whole past life connection. Throughout it all the other person reacted with, “it's all your problem and it would benefit our relationship if you sorted it.”
It never is just about me. That's the lesson I learned. I really let it rip and let the other person have it. It felt really good. I kicked the “father” out of my life for good. I feel really free. Lots of energy and emotions have released in the process, and I believe that by completing that aspect, I got access to the France life in the 1400's.
