Chapter Ten

Preparation Meets Opportunity

Ladies, if you find yourself wandering through life intently focused on looking for a man, odds are you’ll probably never find him—sad, but true. That’s how the math of the universe works. The more desperate you are in your quest to obtain something, the more elusive it becomes. The reality is, you stand a better chance of finding what and who you want if you take your life one day at a time, enjoying each moment fully as if everything you desire is already here. It requires changing the way you think, focusing on the positive instead of the negative, but if you’re a woman who’s determined to realize her highest potential, you should already be leaning that way. Let’s take this a step further to something even more radical: What would happen if you lived your life as if you already have a man? Talk about a tremendous burden being lifted! Imagine all the other wonderful things in life you could finally start focusing on, now that this major issue has been resolved.

Okay, okay, calm down. I can already hear the disbelief in your voice. Vixen, you snap, what the hell do you mean? Are you suggesting that I come up with an invisible man, like the invisible playmates I used to have when I was a kid? That’s exactly what I’m suggesting, ladies! Laugh all you want; it works. If any of you have ever experienced the power of prayer or spoke your requests into the air with the absolute faith that they will come, then just went about your business waiting for what you asked for to show up, then you know that what I’m talking about works. That’s exactly how it’s been designed. The universe always delivers, as long as you believe, which is why we’ve all heard the phrase, “Be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it.” But what if you’ve asked for things and didn’t get them? Well, there’s an answer for that, too—a very simple answer. It’s because you were the weak link in the equation. Something inside of you either feared, doubted, or both. Fear and doubt are the natural opposites of faith. You have to know what you want is on its way, and then proceed as if all it has to do is show up. But hold on…that doesn’t mean you can just lay back and wait. You have to prepare for its arrival so that you don’t miss out on what you asked for when it comes. These are principles that have been in play since the dawn of man, laws that are present in every religion and philosophy throughout the world. No matter what walk of life you’re from, all roads lead to the same answer: you get what you believe in.

If you don’t believe your man is out there, then guess what? He isn’t. If you believe he is and just hasn’t made it to you yet, why not use your time wisely and start getting things ready for when he shows up?!

Vixen Tip

Start by imagining your life the way it would be if there were a man around. Visualize it. Having a picture in mind is one of the strongest ways of bringing things to fruition. How would your home look? What kind of furniture would you have? Would it be the same as what you have now? Would you have your dirty panties and socks scattered all over the floor? Would that tub of Breyer’s Double Vanilla ice cream still be melting all over your end table? And what about your bed? Would the same sheets from three weeks ago still be on your mattress? Would a man be thrilled to be in your home right now, at this very minute?

And what about you? When was the last time you had your hands and feet looked after? Let’s not even talk about your body. No, I take that back…let’s. Be honest. What kind of shape are you in? Are you waxed or shaved, feeling as fresh as one of those embarrassing douche commercials? Does your skin give off an inviting scent? Would a man salivate at the very thought of being near you? No? Double no? Then, girls, you have some serious work to do.
