When Ghosts Speak - Mary Ann Winkowski [103]
He was silent for a few minutes, then asked if I could fly out to the team’s home offices the next day. Now, October is the absolute busiest time of the year for me. I usually have more than forty speaking engagements lined up months ahead of time. So I said no. After another long silence, he asked me if he would have to fly the whole team out to me to have the curse taken off.
I explained again that the team wasn’t cursed, the organization was. I told him that if he could get me the paperwork that defined the team as an organization, I could take the curse off. And that is how, a few days later, I came to find myself sitting aboard a corporate jet at a gate in the Cleveland airport. I set up all the items I needed to remove a curse, and the manager took an impressive leather-bound document from a large manila envelope and handed it to me.
I was actually worried about having to put the oil on the leather cover, so I asked him to put the document back in the envelope—after all, there was no need for me to examine the paperwork. He did, and in about three minutes I removed the curse from the organization. I went back home, the plane flew back east, and I can tell you that the team proceeded to delight generations of rabid fans by defeating their historic archrivals in an unprecedented winning streak the likes of which had not been seen literally in decades.
Whenever people ask me if I’ve done work for a particular team or athlete, I tell them what I truly believe: Removing negative energy is always helpful, but to win at anything, you still need to be the team that played the best that day.
How to Remove a Curse or Negative Energy
Anyone can attempt to remove a curse or negative energy from another person. Nothing I recommend in this section can cause anyone any harm. Whether or not you can feel the presence of the negative energy, whether or not you’re sure you’re doing the ceremony the right way, doesn’t matter. You cannot mess up. If you don’t do the ceremony the right way and the energy doesn’t come off, you haven’t made it worse. If you do the ceremony on people who have no curse, you won’t put one on them. There really is no reason not to attempt this.
When I lead workshops teaching people how to remove curses and negative energy, they often tell me that, although they have followed all the steps, nothing happened. As you gain experience and become more comfortable with energy work, it will become easier to tell if you have removed the negative energy. If you are in doubt when you first try these techniques, it’s still safe to assume that you have been successful. When I’ve been able to follow up on workshop participants’ attempts to remove negative energy, I can report that at least 90 percent of the time they succeeded.
Items You Need for Negative Energy Removal
• Candle. I prefer white, but any color can be used. The flame quickly takes up and releases energy. It burns up negative vibrations in the area. It can also serve as a focus for your mental energy. Preparing your candle with your own energy will help you use it to remove negative energy. Rub holy water or oil on the surface. Start in the middle and apply to each end, stroking first upward and then downward. As you are doing this, let your energy
